I have more than 30 years professional expertise in Jyotish or Vedic astrology with my main focus being Parashari jyotish. However I am equally adept at Jaimini, Bhrigu and KP and use these systems to validate my inferences using the Parashari system.
I use the D1 chart for analysis and use the divisional charts to support the inferences drawn and then further validate them using other systems. I also factor in the Dasha periods as well as the transits connected to the time period apart from the dignity/strength of the planets, yogas/doshas, conjunctions etc as used by the Parashari system as well as the others.
