Sometimes you'll have a student for a week, sometimes a month, sometimes a few years. But on the rarest of times you will teach someone for so many years that you end up watching them grow up.

I had to say goodbye to a student tonight that's been coming in since he was a kid. He's a man now and he had to move on from his guitar lessons.

He left me with a card and a thoughtful gift that I'm not ashamed to say left me pretty emotional. He's an extremely talented musician and a good friend. Going to miss him big time.

Channel update!

I've been able to save up enough money for a decent condenser microphone.

So now my guitar videos should have a much better sound quality.

Looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks guys

Hey folks,

I just wanted to say I appreciate you all, and I hope you have a good Christmas.

Once I'm back in the shop I'm going to do another fun guitar comparison. I have a guitar in my possession that has really opened up, and I'm excited to show it off.

Hey folks,

I hope you all are well!

I know sometimes guitar can be really challenging. Heck it's challenging basically all the time haha

Sometimes we miss our practice. Even I go days without practice especially if my daughters are sick.

If you miss a practice (no matter the reason) don't let it get you down.

Just remember even Tony Rice had moments of frustration on the guitar or at times felt he would not be able to accomplish technical goals.

Keep on picking and most importantly ENJOY it!

Thanks for the support on the channel.

Hey folks,

I hope you all are having a good weekend and can find some time to play. I'm a father of 3 so I know it can be tough.

When you are practicing make sure you play ideas first and tunes second. Songs are fun to learn but if you work on your picking and rhythm ideas first, it will stay with you in the long run.

Hey Folks!

Just wanted to let you know I'm starting another course on my lessons page on "Building Melody in Bluegrass".

My Patreon page is a a good deal (less than 5 bucks) and I put out content every week.

A lot of bang for the buck!

Either way I appreciate the support!

Hey folks,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

I'm just posting to let you know that I'm building a guitar fundamentals course on my lesson page. I just released part 2 on "how to improvise around mistakes".

Only 5 bucks a month gives you full access to a massive (and growing) lesson curriculum as well as communicating directly with me.

I appreciate you all! 🙏
