Groove and rhythm-focused techno have captivated Ty Bonlando since he was a young raver in Calgary at the turn of the millennium. He has always been fascinated by the art of DJing. In the early 2000s, he started developing his unique style by learning how to mix vinyl with a third turntable. But when the digital revolution arrived, he picked up Traktor Pro DJ software and dedicated himself to creating a unique and entertaining way to perform.
Flow and track selection are his top priorities. An average 75-minute set can feature over 40 tracks using all four available channels with loops, samples, and effects. Expect music shifting through a range of flavours: dub, raw, hypnotic, aggressive dance-floor-driven chaos, deep, and melodic, to name a few.
Bonlando's sets are highly technical, fun to dance to, and easy to lose yourself in. He can destroy a crowd during peak time slots, warm up for anyone, start the night out, or close it down.
