Wisp started out as a complete mystery. A broke nineteen year old college student making shoegaze in her room in San Francisco released her debut single ‘Your Face’ and it went viral. This is the first acoustic performance of the song that sparked it all for her. Wisp’s music is all about contrasts, so we took her to Boston Manor Park in London - a large woodland that is split in two by the M4 motorway. No wall of guitars, bustling bass and thunderous drums here but just the core of the song: whispered vocals and gently strummed acoustic guitars under the setting sun.

We chased ducklings and ate delicious ice cream with @caitybaser. And she sang a beautiful song: "The Story Of Her is about family relationships. For me, it's about a female family member who doesn’t want to acknowledge their past, which has led to her losing everything. It’s something that I didn't want to do. Her story is the only thing that keeps me connected to this person. I do relate to her in some ways because I think ‘fuck, that’s really sad’."

🌿 Birds chirping, flowers waving in the breeze, sunbeams peeking through the foliage, a peaceful quiet. It’s hard to believe this Live Session was shot just a stone's throw from the Sacré-Coeur, at the heart of one of Paris’ most touristy districts, Montmartre. The large wooded garden of @CiteInternationaleDesArtsParis provided the ideal setting for @emilemosseri to deliver a gentle rendition of ‘easing in’ backed up by Dougie Stu on upright bass.
