Saeed Saremi was born on February 3, 1981 in an artistic family. Since childhood he showed special interest for the percussion instruments. He started taking Tombek lessons from his father when he turned ten years old. Six years later he began expanding his skills and practicing with different Latin and African percussion instruments such as congas, cajon, djembe, udu,darbuka and timbales…
Saeed has performed alongside of many famous Persian singers in some of Tehran’s most prestigious musical theaters. During these years he has played in variety of bands such as pop, fusion, traditional, jazz, and Latin.
He enjoys mixing music of different countries and creating a new style of his own. Performing in the famous Darrkoob band allowed him to incorporate the Azerbaijani, Armenian, and Arabic music and creating a very unique and original style.
