I'm kinda enjoying life these days so I won't be playing or streaming TH20.
Maybe if things go sufficiently down hill in the future, who knows 🤷

The youtube algorithm has developed auto replies for "Happy Cirno Day!".
What a time to be alive.

Last stream with help from chat this tierlist got put together. All the ability cards ranked from best to worst, from the perspective of doing a 1cc on any difficulty.
Where did we screw up, what cards do you disagree with?

So guys we did it.
Now that this channel is at 10k I feel I owe you all an explanation for quitting YT.
When I started the channel I was constantly making memes and uploading only the ones that "made me laugh" myself. Despite not uploading everything I managed to keep a "once in two days" upload schedule, which was great for the channel in the YT algorithm.
In Winter 2018 the channel had its peak when 15.5 launched, and I found many other Touhou Meme channels were also coming into existence. I was already promoting my "colleagues" though a playlist, but decided to contact them and promote them in a video in Februari. After this they became even more active.
As soon as the big meme depression of Spring 2018 came I started to get really uninspired and had a hard time sticking to the "once in two days" schedule. I was sometimes just too late to make one because another channel already made the joke, or there was just no material to work with at all. Result was my videos got worse and worse, and eventually I had to drop the schedule. Despite this people seemed to still love them, which made me question my older videos more than it made me like my newer.
Because I dropped the schedule I immediately saw my new videos not doing well anymore, even though I now again uploaded only things I was content with.
Talking about being content, I definitely wasn't with the "Content Yama". In hindsight it was just stupid in general to make such a salty video while I had always tried to make wholesome content. But I also disappointed myself by criticizing quality and style, even though I had planned not to. The whole thing just became an anti-circlejerk and I failed to notice.
After that I only made one good meme, which was the last meme I ever made. I spent the summer preparing a massive 9 videos in one day for Cirno day 2018, but didn't make the deadline. Because I had to force myself to keep making videos I could no longer enjoy Touhou or related things.
Through unrelated personal problems I then had to shut myself away from Touhou which made me cut off contact with the other channels that made memes.
So now half a year later the channel finally reaches the goal I had set for it: To surpass Ciryes and reach 10k subs. I can't watch back old videos on Clownplease without cringing, but that's normal I guess. Unlike Ciryes, I promised I would keep them up and I will.
If you are reading this and decide to "become the new Clownplease", don't be afraid to promote your channel in the comments here. A few tips I can give you: Never be salty, because even when you're right you lose. Don't look back too much on older videos. Don't view other channels as competition.
For those of you that stuck around after I left: Here is the full collection of all discontinued memes I had on my hard drive. Some of these aged very poorly, be warned. www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
tl;dr I quit because I got uninspired and was no longer proud of the channel. Forcing myself to keep up only made me dislike Touhou and things related to it.

Currently in hibernation. Touhou 19 is fake, it's a conspiracy from the CIA to get you to play bad games.
