Winter in Matsushima is like a wonderland, with a frosty layer resembling honey glaze covering everything. Matsushima Bay, dotted with 260 islands, offers breathtaking scenery that changes with the seasons.
The charming shops around the port are a delight to explore, though our stay was too short. Highlights include handmade fish cakes and giant senbei (rice crackers) as big as your face!
Even the seagulls here are spoiled—they won't even eat shrimp snacks anymore. 😂
