You may have noticed I haven't posted a long form video in a while. With some personal life challenges, it took everything in me to finish my Ecuador footage. Since I endeavor to be wholehearted in my communication, I honestly got burned out behind my editing timeline after seeing low video analytics for a year. ๐
After 15 months of filming, editing, recording, publishing, optimizing, and promoting each adventure series and not seeing a single video "take-off" to qualify my channel for monetization, I simply lost motivation. I've invested thousands of dollars into my gear and YouTube training, and thousands of hours into my channel, but it's simply not sustainable if a single penny didn't return to keep supporting my creative work. You see where I'm coming from? ๐ค
So, looking forward, I see some options, and I'd like YOU to help shape the future: which of these would you do? ๐ค

Other than brushing my teeth and prayer, I donโt think thereโs anything else where Iโve committed to doing something every day, until this last year when I committed to a year of learning Spanish. I did it. A lesson every day. For a year. ๐
Now before you expect me to engage in a Spanish conversation, I will say practice lessons and vocabulary on DuoLingo is VERY different than learning and speaking Spanish with native speakers. ๐ฑ
I only created my DuoLingo account after traveling Ecuador for a month and wishing I could relate with the locals at a deeper level. I also realized how much of the world speaks Spanish, and at 35, I have many years of world travel ahead of me, so I figured learning now is better than later or never! ๐
Itโs been an exercise in commitment and consistency and there were many nights where I didnโt FEEL like practicing. Learning to exercise my mind and will to master my emotions has been even more valuable than the vocabulary itself. ๐ช๐ผ
Now my heart is searching for one of the 20 Spanish-speaking countries to practice in person and connect at a deeper level with some of the 500 million people who speak it! ๐ฅฐ

Yesterday, I wholeheartedly enjoyed a powerful day of play in DEEP powder in our local mountain range. โ๏ธ When the forecast shows severe winter weather heading our way, I stoke my mind with a good mountain film. I remember watching "Into the Mind" when it released back in 2013, and 11 years later, it is still my TOP adventure film (and I've seen many). This deserves every Oscar and award for best cinematography, editing, sound design, and athletic abilities.
