WILKESBORO POSTPONEMENT
As much as we try to take control, we’re often reminded just how little control we have. From the last minute move to Wilkesboro this week.. to now the forecasted rain.. we seem to have run out of time, but not options!
Wilkesboro Dragway has a spot open that we now have filled on May 19-20. We understand that the big news in Wilkes County is the return of NASCAR on that Sunday, but we’d also like to add the Hottest GASSERS in World and Return to 1967 at Wilkesboro Dragway!
All details remain exactly the same as before, so there is no confusion about times or admission change.

RACEWEEK LOCATION CHANGE
This week’s SEGA Championship event has been officially moved less than 60 miles west to Wilkesboro Dragway in Wilkesboro, NC.
Unfortunately, Farmington Dragway was forced to cancel our event due to unforeseen circumstances in repaving a portion of their track.
WE NEED PROMOTIONAL HELP FAST
We have certainly had many requests over the years to hold an event at Wilkesboro Dragway, and we see this as a prime opportunity to show the fans in Wilkes County what true 1960’s heads-up, 4-speed, championship drag racing is all about! Once known as the “Moonshine Capital of the World” and home of NASCAR’s first race in 1947… Wilkes County seems the perfect fit for a “Return to 1967” at Wilkesboro Dragway this weekend!!!

FROM THE DESK OF QUAIN STOTT!

“IMPORTANT INFO, SEGA RACE LOCATION CHANGED.
Big problems at the Farmington race that was planned this Saturday May 6th. The owners at Farmington Dragway made the decision 2 weeks ago to dig up the shut down area and repave it. The paving crew assured them they could have it done in time for our event there. So I got a phone call from the track at 2:19 PM today telling me the shut down area has been dug up and the paving crew will not be able to get it fixed in time for our race in spite of the fact that they assured them they could. Keep in mind the first I heard of this was at 2:19 today so I'm still in shock. We are looking at a track less than an hour drive from Farmington to move this event so we can race even knowing we only have a few days to promote it. Dallas Peffley was already an hour away from Farmington to work all this week promoting this event. I have had a lot of unforeseen (out of our control) problems cause us to lose an event but this takes the cake. This news has really knocked the wind out of my sails but I will do my best to make this race happen if possible.
