Iâm so tired of all these posts telling you that you
"you have to hustle in your 20s".
If you have ADHD, do yourself a favor and gratefully ignore this advice.
It might be motivational in the short-term, but will just burn you out in the long term.
ADHD Success comes from ALLIGNMENT. With who YOU are.
YOUR strengths and YOUR values.
Not from willpower and "pushing" yourself. But from interest and PULLING yourself.
Chasing what naturally lights you up.
Not discipline.
Not willpower.
Not shame.
Start there and your brain will want to "hustle" all by itself.

Currently trying to decide how we'll edit our next youtube videos - your feedback would be a big help!

You know how everything you once loved eventually feels... boring?
Thatâs not because itâs wrong â itâs because your ADHD brain is built for novelty.
When you see something every day â a person, a job, a place â your brain filters it out. It becomes background noise.
This is called habituation, and itâs normal.
But for ADHD brains, it feels like something's missing.
Thatâs when we start spiraling â thinking we made a bad choice. Feeling guilty.
But hereâs the truth:
Youâre not broken. You just need space.
Distance brings dopamine.
It helps you miss what matters.
And when you come back? You reconnect â not just with the thing, but with yourself.
Because half the time weâre living for everyone else.
So next time you're bored, ask:
âDo I need something new for a while... or for good?â
Let distance reveal the truth.

If youâre building your life just to avoid boredom⌠youâll never feel alive:
ADHD makes boredom feel like death. So we chase the next hit. New idea. New goal. New tab. New snack. Anything but stillness.
But chasing stimulation isnât the same as building a life that means something.
You end up busy all the time⌠and still feel empty.
You quit too soon and forget what you even wanted.
Truth isâeverything gets boring eventually. Even the things or people you love. Even your dream.
That doesnât mean itâs time to run. It means itâs time to lean in.
Life isn't always about dopamine hits. It's about pursuing growth and meaning.
This doesnât mean rejecting fun or stimulationâthose are important too. But a great life for someone with ADHD happens when:
⢠You use structure and accountability to stick with long-term goals
⢠You get stimulation from progress and purpose, not just novelty
⢠You build a life thatâs exciting because it matters, not just because it entertains you
What you do after boredom or discomfortâthatâs where real life begins.
Do you agree?

If you have ADHD, life feels..short, because you want everything right now.
The perfect body, the ideal job, the best relationship, and if something isnât happening now or very soon, itâs like it doesnât and will never exist.
Itâs like you can never grasp the future which leaves you chasing quick wins, burning out, and never feeling satisfied.
This is when I learned about adhd, our perception of time and how weâre all being fooled.
I realised that our brain doesnât see time like others doâit is blind to the passing of time and only sees now and not now, which leads us to overestimate what we can do in the short term and underestimate what we can do in the long-term.
When I understood this, I finally relaxed.
I stopped needing instant results and started trusting the process which has allowed me to delay my need for instant gratification and even though it still feels like Iâm fighting waves, I can now build without panic because I believe in the power of time.
Life is long.

Youâre not lazy. Your brain is just running on different meta-programsâand nobody told you
Most people chase goals to succeed. If you have ADHD, you probably chase them to avoid boredom or failure..
Most people feel like they can choose what they do. If you have ADHD you often feel like life happens to you and that youâre just trying to keep up.
Most people like to have step by step systems, if you have ADHD you often prefer having flexibility and multiple options
Most people know if theyâre on the right track or not, if you have ADHD you often rely on external validation and feedback to know how youâre doing.
Most people are able to see the timeline and follow through on future commitments, but you are often only focused on the present moment and forget everything else.
Most people look for whatâs familiar, but you choose to spot novelty and contrast.
And while most people think in steps you like to jump to the big idea, the vision, the why behind it all
Your brainâs not brokenâitâs built for innovation, instead of imitation.
When the world is designed for people who thrive on rules, routines, and long-term plans..., youâre left with no other choice than to go down paths less travelled to create and find new environments that empower YOU.
So when the world is designed for people who thrive on rules, routines, and long-term plans...Youâre forced to carve your own path
Can you relate?
