There is a misconception that you must be flexible in order to do Yoga.
This is just another unnecessary expectation and obstacle that we create for ourselves.
The various practices of Yoga are designed to help us find more flexibility in our mind just as must as in our body. This allows us to cultivate resiliency so that we can withstand the storms that life brings our way.
Sure, one of the many byproducts of Yoga is flexibility, but the practice itself has no requirements in order for you to participate.
This is possibly one of the most beautiful things about the practice of Yoga, that it welcomes everyone, just as you are! Remember in Yogrishiโs words: if you can breathe you can do yoga
