The simpler your fat loss strategy, the easier it is.

âBig Snackâ has a stranglehold on kids AND parents.
You tell someone you donât let your kid snack, and they look at you like youâre starving them.
Weâve experimented with this with our 2yr old. On days she has the Go-Go Squeezes & graham crackers (pretty much the only snacks sheâs given) sheâs much more likely to push her lunch / dinner plate away & not eat food of real substance.
On days she doesnât have the snacks (starting with a breakfast of something like eggs, Greek yogurt & berries) she eats all of her balanced , whole food based lunch & dinner.
The ultra processed snack foods are a big reason for the increase in behavioral issues & food intolerances kids continue to deal with today.
Just like we should prioritize real food & minimize junk snacking, so should our kids.

Iâve seen this firsthand with countless clients. They hit a plateau despite eating less and working out more. And after some probing, their gut is in disarray.
Letâs break it down:
When your gut microbiome is off, it can:
- Inflame your system: Chronic inflammation messes with your metabolism and hormone balance.
- Impact nutrient absorption: If your gut isnât absorbing nutrients properly, your body lacks the fuel it needs to burn fat efficiently.

2, Stay hydrated â Water aids digestion and keeps things moving, preventing slow down in the system.
3. Add fermented foods â things like yogurt, sauerkraut, or kefir. They introduce good bacteria into your system, fighting off the âbadâ.

I spoke with a prospective client about a month ago that desperately wanted to improve her health & get in better shape, but was afraid that it would take away from her relationship w/ her husband & her friends.
She told me that all of the ways she bonds & relaxes with those closest to her involve food, drinks & lounging.
Essentially the opposite of how I'd need her to spend her time lol. And of course, I'm not advocating for you to cut off the people closest in your life just because they're not on the same journey as you.
BUT, you may have to be the weird one in the group for awhile. Field questions about why you got the non alcoholic bev. Get the jokes when you order the grilled chicken breast instead of the loaded pasta. Or maybe even the judgment when you're doing things they're not motivated enough to do.
But you know what else you'll get?
- the ability to motivate & inspire those around you
- compliments as you start to change for the better
- respect for sticking with something the majority of the country can't do
You may have to be the sore thumb in the beginning, but I promise you, good health is contagious & others will slowly follow your lead.
Just stay the course.
