The store is up! Store is now open: members.rpacgallery.com/byzantine-icons. You can order printed reproductions of the finished icons in any size on paper, canvas or (recommended) aluminum plate. I've ordered some samples and they look gorgeous.
This channel is dedicated to showing the traditional technique for egg tempera painting from start to finish. The painting is done with layers of transparent paint called highlights and floats. The icons are gilded with 24k gold using red bole clay and natural hide glue, then burnished to a shine.
