"Never underestimate the power of an edge case"๐
In one of my recent topmate.io session recently one student mentioned that he unable to guess the edge cases while writing code and end up spending a lot of time in writing the code .
โญ๏ธ While writing code we often focus on logic and ignore some obvious edge cases and cover them when code editor highlights it๐.
โญ๏ธ This may seem not a big issue but when you are writing backend code? a small edge case can cause you a service failure.
Recently I worked on some backend code and my senior explained it very clearly how a small edge case can cause the service failure. It is always important to catch all exceptions and work out of the function gracefully.
Make sure you are taking the edge case detection seriously from now whenever you are writing any code ๐
