I am currently a Boeing 787 captain for a major airline. Previously, I was a Boeing 777 captain. I spent 25 years on the 747 and have flown the -100, -200, SP and -400 models accruing 2000 hours on the classic 747s and 16,000 hours on the 747-400. I have 2000 hours on the 757/767. Since my first flying lesson in 1976, I have accumulated 28,000 flight hours.
I began flying lessons at age 14 from my earnings as a restaurant busboy. By working hard as a busboy and various menial jobs, I was able to solo (Cessna 150) on my 16th birthday; earned my private pilot certificate and instrument rating at age 17; and commercial pilot certificate, multi-engine rating, flight instructor certificate at age 18.
My goal for this channel is to encourage aspiring pilots from all walks of life to pursue the dream of becoming a pilot. I was a poor immigrant kid who didn't speak English when arriving in the U.S. and I definitely didn't do well in school.
WHERE THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S A WAY!
