So I have a question for the community. It's related to distance. There's been a lot of hype around 10 speed drivers lately and it's really made me question my reliance on a 14 speed driver for distance. I throw a Westside Destiny. I can push it out to about 360 on flat ground with the right throw and no wind.

I've thrown some of the new 10 speeds, like the Gorgon, but not the Trail yet. Hoping to get my hands on one soon. In the comments of other creators I've seen advice on how to figure out the appropriate max disc speed and it got me thinking.

None of the discs I've tried recently have quite the same distance as my Destiny, so my question is:

Which disc should I really be throwing for max distance?

Am I wrong throwing a 14 speed driver? Is there something in a slower speed that you think I can get out that far? I will search my collection and see if I have what you suggest or I will try to acquire one.

I rely on a hyzer flip for distance, but should I try a different shot shape for max distance? I know I have form issues that are holding me back, you just have to watch my videos to see that. I'm nothing if not self aware, but let's work with what we have here.

I'd be lying if I said that max distance is my be all end all for disc golf. I'd much rather hit my line and park my upshots every time, but I wouldn't kick 400ft out of my bed for earing crackers.

And on that note, are slower speed discs generally easier to control? I have good sized hands so I have no trouble gripping even the widest rims, but I do love the feel of the slower distance discs.
