What happened in Michigan was truly awful. Lord, have mercy. Praying for comfort and mercy for my LDS friends.

LDS Apostle Orson Hyde once said: “to admit that [Brigham] can advance incorrect doctrine, is to lay the ax at the root of the tree….Will [God] suffer His mouthpiece to go into error? No. He would remove him, and place another there. [B]ro. Brigham may err in the price of a horse, or a House and lot, [but] in the revelations from God, where is the man that has given thus said the Lord when it was not so? I cannot find one instance.”
John Taylor is sitting in the room when Hyde argues that a prophet saying “thus saith the Lord” cannot be wrong. In 1886, John Taylor records a revelation seemingly arguing that plural marriage should continue forever. The revelation begins with that exact prophetic formula: "thus saith the Lord."

Here's why we are standing outside General Conference giving people Gospel tracts and trying to have conversations with passing Latter-day Saints: * https://youtu.be/JAzkamVDx9Q *
(This is a picture of most of the Christian evangelists who were out at General Conference today to try and share their faith with those who were attending conference - we filled up 5 whole tables with evangelists!)

Followers of Jesus should have a good grasp on how all the different stories of the Bible thread together the tapestry of redemptive history. At the dawn of history, God made a promise to bring a Savior who would crush Satan and death—and He has not failed to keep that promise.

Many of you have likely heard about controversy surrounding Micah Wilder & Adam's Road. It's a terrible tragedy and a sober warning.
Because we recommended and pointed people to Micah & his book — we felt it was necessary to address and publicly condemn the sexual sin that has recently come to light.
On a recent episode of @TheCultishShow on @ApologiaStudios, we helped walk through the timeline of what happened with Adam's Road for the sake of clarity—and to call to repentance all those involved in such sexual immorality.

It's 8/18 - Happy Moroni 8:18 day! [Our Moroni 8:18 video - https://youtu.be/eoOla_k4YXk]
"For I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity." - Moroni 8:18
Christians agree with Moroni 8:18....why don't Latter-day Saints?

Paul commands in 2 Corinthians 5 - "We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."
One thing I've found lacking in the LDS worldview (though this is not unique to Mormonism) is an understanding of our most desperate need to be reconciled to God. Mankind's primary plight is not this struggle to live up to our "divine potential," but rather that "the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men..."
What is the Gospel? What is this good news? Is it that we have a spirit-sibling who paved a covenant pathway for us, providing us a perfect example of how to walk that path? Is it that we can now live up to this spark of divine potential within us?
Here's what we really need: peace with God. We need His wrath propitiated (averted). We need forgiveness of sins. We need to be cleansed. We need a new heart. Without these things, we stand under the mighty weight of the Lord's judgment and wrath. Without these things, His right hand of justice will cast us into the fire.
The Gospel isn't essentially a message about what God has enabled us to do to merit a higher state of being. The "good news" of the Gospel is the work of the Lord Jesus which wrought these things. It's about His perfect life and substitutionary death on the cross that averts God's wrath and justifies the ungodly.
Christians preach a Gospel that promises peace: "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Thus, as Paul so aptly put it - "We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."

What you need to know about the Christian definition of "faith." - https://youtu.be/iKGPS9o3M8U
Many Latter-day Saints have told me that true faith includes works as a part of the definition. In this video, I explain a Christian definition of faith, and why we would Biblically disagree with that assertion.
