Step/Sisters is an independent improv comedy team from Portland, OR. The team was originally formed as a Curious Comedy House Team (as Sisters) in 2017. They went independent in 2018 and now host Wildcard, a bi-weekly show for independent improv teams, at Curious Comedy Theater.
After putting their own twist on an old format (Movie - "Channel Surfing"), completing their run as a house team at Curious Comedy, they struck out on their own, going on to win both Thursday Night Throwdown and Friday Night Fights using another unique show based on "60 Second Docs."
They have made a name for themselves in the Portland area with their mix of fast play and patient scenes. They began using the JTS Brown philosophy in their shows to add another layer of organic, fluid play that audiences love watching. As a team they have been taught by Nick Armstrong, Jay Robert Flewelling, Kara Moore, Betse Green, DK Reinemer, and more.
