Did you know? "幽霊" ( γ‚†γ†γ‚Œγ„ - yΕ«rei) means a ghost! While perfect for this spooky season, you could also say "云霊" (γΌγŠγ‚Œγ„ - bōrei) or "死霊" ( γ—γ‚Šγ‚‡γ† - shiryō)! All three make use of "霊" (γ‚Œγ„/rei OR γ‚Šγ‚‡γ†/ryō) to describe a spirit of one sort or another.

Reading "霊" the first way simply means a spirit of the dead or a ghost, while the latter specifically describes a vengeful one!

Did you know? "卡" (γŸγΎγ” - tamago) means egg! While "ι››" (γ²γ‚ˆγ“ - hiyoko) means a chick! Which came first? The 卡 or the 颏? (γ«γ‚γ¨γ‚Š - niwatori, meaning a "chicken!")
