If you are experiencing morning sickness and feeling nauseous.. you might like to try out these foods
!
💧Glass of water with a squeeze of lemon: dehydration can make your morning sickness worse. So drink up! The strong smell of the lemon can help reduce nausea.
🍞Vegemite on toast: Vegemite contains vitamin B6 which has been found to improve nausea. Try using as little butter as possible as this can often make nausea worse.
🥦Green smoothie with ginger: simply put your fav green veggies into a blender! Think spinach, celery, mint… with some citrus fruit such as an orange and then some ginger! Ginger has been found to be beneficial for relieving nausea.
🍜Miso soup – tofu in this meal will provide you and your growing baby with some protein and the stock is good for re-hydration.
🍿Popcorn – no, not buttery popcorn! But rather some home made air popped popcorn with a touch of salt. Nibble on this through out the day
🍎Slices of apple – try eating before you get out of bed as this can help optimise your blood sugar level and hormones before you get out of bed
🥄Low fat yoghurt – rich in carbohydrates and protein and low in fat which is good for morning sickness.
