In 2016, Brian Armstrong laid out Coinbase's "Secret Master Plan" to onboard 1 Billion users to digital assets.
Base represents the movement to phase 4 of that plan: a platform for crypto applications.
Since launching last year, Base has attracted a ton of activity:
-Base is a leader in SocialFi applications
-Base is already one of the largest Ethereum rollups
-Base on-chain activity has exploded in recent weeks
