At 2:40 PM MST today, my Dad, my hero and best friend, went to celebrate his birth into the Kingdom of God, joined by his maker, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with my my Mom, grandparents, family, friends, and loved ones. As per my post on Twitter regarding recent JASMY FUD/DRAMA:
#JASMY "DYOR". Why DYOR? Because it literally suggests (it doesn't say) since day one of JASMY in the whitepaper, that going to a new chain at some point would happen. I don't see why people are so shocked about this. JASMY not only is keeping true to their roadmap and the whitepaper, but if anything this proves that they care about scalability. I would be more worried if JASMY didn't try to go with it's L2 JASMY chain and decided to please those who didn't read the whitepaper, which let's be honest everybody, most people don't and only a few read litepapers.
Based on everything I have read, JASMY will be exchanged/swapped at a 1:1 ratio unless something was recently mentioned that would change that, I have no idea why that would change, but I get it... we want to hear something OFFICIAL and in due time, I think we will see that.
Why are people making such a fuss about all of this? Well due to fear. As some have pointed out, what if $JASMY went the SAITAMA route? Hey, I get it... but, comparing SAITAMA to JASMY is like comparing a diamond to a horse turd, BOTH THE SAME SIZE.
In regards to the timing of this and whether you should sell your position as pointed out by some who were in this space... well... I cannot tell you what to do with your JASMY. For some, they will sell their JASMY and and come back in later. Some did this with other projects like ALBT when it migrated to NXRA. Why? Because they felt that it would make more sense to do so, but this happened roughly last February, a time in which many still felt was a bear market/crypto winter.
My point is this, I get the whole reasoning by some about selling your JASMY now and re-enter later if you want. When? When JASMY chain is live?

Keep in mind everyone, this is when the process "should start". What if it gets delayed even a little further? Think about it... what if crypto winter is thawed out by then? What is literally one month later in April? Yes, the BTC halving. As we know, JASMY moves in correlation with the BTC and ETH chart. Those 2 still represent 81% (roughly) of the overall crypto market. Sorry to say, but I will be damned if I want to take that chance on selling my JASMY in what is still considered a bear market and then come back in when the market could very well be at the start of the BULL RUN!!!! For those who do, why would you sell during the accumlation phase and re-enter during the markup phase? Check the picture below at the bottom of this post for an example.
People will make a fuss about all this because they give into fear and as a result they get shook out. JASMY has a lot of great things going for it right now. Consistent new partnerships, JASMY chain, a lockup, pairing with Japanese YEN denominated stablecoins, unbanning of foreign stable coins like USDT and USDC hopefully later in 2024, and best of all, a true path forward towards MASS ADOPTION. Watch the video I put out earlier regarding that. JASMY has great utility and at the end of the day, isn't that what we are all looking for in a solid project?
At the end of the day, for me personally, JASMY was ALWAYS a long term hold. I am not in it for short term gains. Yes, I may see some short term losses, but the market we are in is still technically a bear market, but is that time coming to an end? I think so!
