Cerebral Dance Ltd. pays tribute to Laws of Motion, a "new wave" band from San Diego, who was active in the Southern California scene from 1983 to 1985. Lawsmo released an EP "Check It In the Mirror/Living In Real Time" on World Records in 1984. Their song Massive Doses was also featured on Local Heroes, a compilation album produced by radio station 91X. Laws of Motion were Steve Dampier (vocals, synth), Brian Williams (guitar), Scott Himmelstein (guitar, synth), Matthew T Pray (bass), Robert Montoya (percussion, drums) and Marcos Fernandes (drums, percussion).
