Constructs is a progressive metal/djent band based out of Northern California’s Bay Area. The band is composed of vocalist Erik Jones, bassist Jose Escudero, drummer Will Hettel, and founding guitarist/songwriter Trayen Burke. Their eclectic musical style began with instrumental soundscapes as heard on 2017’s Shapes EP & their debut single Event Horizon. That sound has now evolved into a fully realized vision, incorporating soaring yet soulful vocals and intense screamed passages into a medley of crashing drums, thundering bass, and futuristic 8-string guitar work. Constructs has shifted focus towards their originally intended sound: incorporating introspective and inspiring lyrics with melodically yet aggressive vocals into a futuristic, heavy, and musical sonic experience.
