Whenever you work, remember you are essential. You render the product as part of the namesake of the company. Thanks to Jane McAlevey, I fully realized that and applied it even more in my organization. She passed away in the last 24 hours and I already feel the weight of things she didn't get to do but all the things she has given to us yet we have to navigate without her. May their family and community who knows and loves her know peace.

I will be here during this week reading chapter 4, one of the most important examples to me. Meet me here in the mornings to hear the rest. Also I will be here in Tuesday everything talking tokusatsu at 7pm CST, maybe come through and chill?

Either way, I'm here to empower and help you heroes. May we all ascend to the higher quality in life every single one of us deserves. 👊🏿

I've been fighting the spectre of houselessness since 2008. The reason my content is scarce is due to the financial hardship I'm in and the amount of new found expertise I have to develop in order to make it out the other side.

This video explains in further detail, but right now I need assistance. Whether it be promotion here and other platforms, engagement, or just pulling up and sharing my GoFundMe (gofund.me/d22bb3e6). I'm doing all I can to survive for my family and I but between the lack of jobs hiring, my health issues, job training navigation, as I steadily get rejected from every place I apply, I will not have a home come August. Please help, share and support where you can and how you can. Thank you heroes 🖤

After Johnson v. Grants Pass, the goal post is further moved in what qualifies as criminality, not being able to afford a home, no job and many with very little family due to COVID. Disproportionately hits all of us of color. We need to take action. Here is a channel advocating for mass organization at whatever level you can in your cities to let Biden know if he has any chance at reelection, it's enforcing housing as a human right.

Happy Friendly Friday heroes, I'm working this month (with great delay, don't worry I haven't able to keep up with production) on some tokusatsu comedy, and a feature on the state of housing in San Antonio. I want to take more time to craft a more clear vision of the state of public housing with our current waitlist at 113,000 and counting. I was one of the families who has had to reapply again and again after being pulled from it for myriad reasons, and it's been well over a decade and a divorce and only last week after the city helped me with rent relief did we just miss our brush with houselessness again.

Please take a moment to watch ‪@CamJames‬ story about how it's going down in Atlanta.

And take a moment to follow local ‪@spectrumlocalnews‬ reporter Jose Arredondo and his dive into the state of Opportunity Home, the Alazan Apache public housing projects and the current state of folks trying to get repairs and prevent unjust evictions.

I'm taking a moment to interview the same Kayla Miranda who heads an organization, the Coalition for Tenants Justice, and we're taking a moment to express the barriers that would prevent any new player on the server (think you've just been an emancipated minor, you've moved from another state, you have no family and no funds).

Please comment your lived experience, take a moment from this and any other Friendly Friday to pool our collective mutual resources into something good. Let me know how we can help, and I will see you next week!

Happy friendly Friday, right now I would like to talk to you about how you can begin your journey in advocating for yourself in spaces where your disability may impede. I will give a longer video on here, but on my TikTok and Instagram you can see the first 2 minutes of my first steps in navigating Texas' public education system and their accommodations in special education. From evaluations that are covered by the school district and state, to simple accommodations like "DON'T PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY KID WHEN THEY ARE HAVING AN AUTISTIC MELTDOWN" are followed. (www.tiktok.com/@dyvon.dynamo/video/737157682916707…)

The first step is visiting disabilityrightstx.org/. This organization not only has many free resources on their website such as the IDEA manual that gives you first steps, how tos and letter formats to address school district officials, but they also have pro bono workers and lawyers that will allow you to intake and give you the guidance you need regardless of how you or your fellow hero are capable.

In the interim I've been dealing with my own fight in keeping my home while I wait for my job training/schooling to begin. In the coming week we will have other announcements involving skateboarding AND tokusatsu content. Very sorry about any delays in everything due to my life circumstances.

Be sure to sound off to other heroes in this and other Friendly Friday posts about resources in your area. We're stronger together in all this henshin heroes, stay together.
