The Conflict and Environment Observatory is a UK charity that works to protect communities and ecosystems from the environmental damage caused by armed conflicts and military activities. In this, we seek to challenge the idea of the environment as a ‘silent victim of armed conflict’.
We are driven by the principle that access to reliable environmental information is vital in relation to armed conflicts. Indeed openness and transparency are critical when the environment becomes politicised.
Hence, here we will upload videos highlighting our research work, link to videos of events and press we have been involved with, and curate playlists of videos pertinent to the environmental dimensions of conflict.
We are based in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire. Charity number 1174115.
