The Liberation Concert at Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten was launched in 2006 as a unique tribute to those Americans who gave their lives while fighting to liberate Europe during WWII.
This year, it will be performed on Sept. 12.️

On January 24, 2024, ABMC will host a ceremony at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, near Rome, Italy, in memory of the service members who fell during the Allied landings at Anzio and Nettuno during World War II.
The ceremony is part of the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Europe, which will be held throughout the year.
We will be sharing stories on Facebook and Instagram @usabmc throughout the day.

The Netherlands American Cemetery visitor center has officially been dedicated! ✨
In presence of U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands Razdan Duggal, ABMC Secretary Charles Djou, Governor Emile Roemer and Mayor Alain Krijnen, selected guests and invitees were offered the opportunity to explore the exhibit that ABMC developed for this unique space. 🇺🇸
📅 Officially opening to the public Dec. 12, 2023, this visitor center is the 10th permanent exhibit created by ABMC.

For the occasion, we are releasing an exclusive documentary.
Created by the U.S. Congress on March 4, 1923, the American Battle Monuments Commission was entrusted with the unique mission to honor the services of overseas U.S. Armed Forces by constructing and later maintaining and promoting America's overseas commemorative cemeteries and memorials.
Our staff throughout the globe takes great care and pride in maintaining our fallen men and women, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen's graves every day.
Since day one, ABMC has worked to ensure that General of the Armies John J. Pershing's promise, "Time will not dim the glory of their deeds", remains unbroken.
Throughout this 56-minute documentary, produced to celebrate a hundred years of commemoration, one can hear and see next-of-kin, employees at different levels, Americans at sites abroad with their families, citizens of other countries who work at sites and whose ancestors fought alongside Americans.

Guardian of America’s overseas commemorative cemeteries and memorials, this agency of the United States government honors the service, achievements and sacrifice of U.S. Armed Forces.
The Commission operates and maintains 26 American cemeteries and 31 memorials, monuments and markers in 17 countries, and works to fulfill the vision of its first chairman, General of the Armies John J. Pershing. Pershing, commander of the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, promised that "Time will not dim the glory of their needs".
