I think that we were all a little surprised at how well the improved Kaleido 3 in the Note Air4 C screen stacked up against the Gallery 3 screen in the reMarkable Paper Pro!

I think that the reMarkable seems to show reds and yellows better, and the Note Air4 C seems to get blues and greens a little better.

Because I do think that it is now a matter of preference.
It's telling though why e-ink have felt the need to develop several different colour e-ink technologies in parallel.

Help a guy out! @Jow472 Asks if he should get the Boox Note Air4 C now, the Tab Ultra C Pro or wait for the Note Max. His key priorities are: "a lot of annotations on pdfs and take notes at the same time too."
I'm inclined to think if ne wants color he should probably get the one with the better performing screen (the Note Air4 C). Even though they have discounted the Tab Ultra C Pro, you'd probably be better off investing that money into something like the Logi Keys to Go 2 or Pebble Keys 2: amzn.to/4fGgS9l

But then, if it is just notes and reading that he needs he'll probably love the bigger size of the Note Max for split screen!

Interested in the Mudita Kompakt? I'm really happy to see the minimalist e-ink phone space hotting up.
My question is though whether going for a custom operating system is good enough as your daily driver as so many times we need to download apps to do basic things now, for example today to park my car... I had to download an app!
So will it be better than the Bigme HiBreak for example?
It seems to have a few things right, a fingerprint reader for example, dual sim and maps, but well... we'll see when I get the chance to test one. Check it out at kickstarter through my referral link: mudita-2.kckb.me/kit

I certainly like the idea of the connection switch and so most of the time you could have this little phone as an offline ereader, and then flick the switch when you need to make a call or use the hotspot for example. Might well be worth a look at the early bird price! It certainly seems like there is enough interest for it to get fully funded already.
Anyway, fascinated to hear what you all think of it and if there is enough interest I'll certainly get one in to try on your behalf! Let me know in the comments below. ;-)
