Learning to program and learning a foreign language are similar in many ways:
Practicing little and often > lots of practice crammed into a short period of time.
It's a cliche but it really is about the journey and not the destination.
I'll never learn all there is to know about the Japanese language much like I'll never learn all there is to know about computer programming. But that's what makes it interesting and rewarding.
No shortcuts when it comes to learning programming or a foreign language just enjoy the process and work/study hard
