Summer update! The past few months have seen me BUSY--very busy--but I'm alive and well! I've been traveling abroad seeing the world (stories for another time) and I've now finally started to settle back in for the Summer with a different game plan for the rest of the year--actually finishing videos!
In fact, I originally had planned to upload a guide that was going to come before the DLC dropped, a guide directly squarely toward INVADERS and how y'all can survive and adapt to any invasion situation in the (then) current patch. However, I ended up deciding to postpone said guide to see what the DLC had in store--as it was highly likely that all the new spells, tools, and abilities would quickly make any pre-DLC video outdated. And for the most part, it seems like I made the right call. The DLC is wild (and even that's an understatement)!
For those of y'all who enjoyed my work during DS3's lifespan, I want this video to hit all the same notes: informational, positive, a pinch of dry humor, all with an obsession to find newer tactics and qualities to make the invasion game fun and refreshing.
As of right now, though, I just came back from my last trip and I am only starting to play through the DLC five days after its release. So I've been taking my time and really trying to savor this first blind playthrough as much as I can before I completely deep dive into INVASION nonsense. I'm currently archiving my first time through the DLC on my twitch ( twitch.tv/dangitjm ) if you would like to follow along and see how I do against the same challenges y'all might have faced.
I would like to thank those of y'all who continue to stick around to view any of my work. March Update - TL;DR February was BAD for me. March has been good so far. I'm editing again, compiling footage, getting ready to upload some work!
So last time I made a community post, it was with the full expectation that I was going to start back on my projects. But instead, I was hit with back-to-back illnesses. A cough turned into a fever which turned into an ear infection and that was my entire month, resting and trying to get better. Now, with everything passed, I'm starting to get back in the saddle. There's A LOT to talk about: with Elden Ring, with Ghost of Tsushima, Helldivers 2, and so much more. I hope I can get to share some of the projects that I've been working on with y'all. For those who have been patiently waiting, I appreciate you so much. See y'all soon!

Howdy, y'all! If you've been around this channel for a while, you are probably no stranger to me going long periods of time in between uploads. And I've even recently come out with some videos this past month if you're curious and Youtube hasn't notified you of them--do give the channel a quick revisit if you'd like to see them. Furthermore, when February comes around, you can expect me to be making noise of some kind; I have more than a few long-form ramblings that I can bug y'all with as do I want to further experiment with some newer ideas for Elden Ring and beyond.
But it's the "beyond" that's got me wondering. Leveling with y'all for a bit; I have firmly decided that I want to continue making and editing videos in some capacity for the foreseeable future, but that is going to mean that I will branch out and away from got me lucky with the algorithm in the first place: "SoulsBorne Invasion" content. I've realized, both now and perhaps a long time ago, that I've never felt the 'urge' to pursue weekly or daily content in the same way that you see many Soulstubers attempting to do over the past two years that Elden Ring has been out. But if I were to make more regular content, I know what I would do. I would make videos on games or topics that I find fun or thought-provoking, but these same videos, SoulsBorne Invasion fans might not find immediately appealing at first glance.
To repeat, I like to make videos on ideas that I find genuinely engaging, unique, or even absurd if the time comes for it. I didn't think I'd even be interested in making a few videos about the Rocket Racing mode in Fortnite, for instance, but here I am. What's important to me is that I like to share ideas with other people to share in the fun, to get feedback, to pass information, or to simply say 'why not?' But I'm also no fool to the ways of the Youtube algorithm. Y'all have probably seen this too, not every channel or online personality that has attempted to branch out has led to success. For me, I couldn't care less.
I will let the lot of you know if I decide to take "making a living off of content" a serious decision, but for right now, I just like rambling and sharing videos. That's what I'm going to try and stick to. If you would like to see more of my spontaneous videos, I would love to have y'all. I do try to regularly check any comments or replies as I can. If you have any questions or concerns, let me know.

Howdy, y'all! It's almost the anniversary since Elden Ring's release and, making sure you remember, there's going to be a CHARITY PVP EVENT!!! Actually, there will be three events this Saturday, February 25th.
Two Meta Level (125) tournaments, one on PC and one on Playstation, hosted by The DEN and BathedinBrena (respectively) and the third event is an all-day 3v3 Colosseum brawl featuring multiple Souls streamers and content creators. I will also be participating and streaming that day. We each will have our own player-made covenants and representing a specific charity, generating more funds for every victory! YOU CAN ALSO JOIN ON IN! The Colosseum Covenant event is taking place at level 60 with +12 regular weapons and +5 somber. Spirit Ashes are also allowed, and they should be 'fully upgraded'. Take a look at the full list of covenants that you can potentially choose from and join if you already have a level 60. You can respec via Rennala and change looks/names through the magic mirror in the Roundtable Hold.

Names ->
Has to have "Tempest" in your character name. Could be an adjective or title.
Mandatory Fashion -> Exile Chest with the scarf pulled up (if the helmet selected brings the scarf down, that helmet is not allowed). Every other piece is the user's preference.
Mandatory Arsenal -> All Storm related Ashes of War: Storm Blade, Storm Stomp, Stormcaller, Storm Assault, Storm Wall (for shields), Stormhawk Arrows, Golem Greatarrows. No mandatory weapons, per say, but if you want inspiration, look to the weapons that the Exiles and Banished Knights use at Stormveil and Castle Sol. You can also use non-specific Ashes of War to even out your builds (Impaling Thrust, Quickstep, Spinning Slash, etc). Look at the descriptions of the Ashes of War, if they say that it belongs to certain group or creed that's separate from the Stormveil Tempests, don't use it! Like Ice Spear, Thunderbolt, or Cragblade are not allowed.
Special inclusions, Ashes of War -> Thunderstorm (Stormhawk Axe), Ice Storm (Zamor Curved Sword), Dragonscale Blade, Dragon Halberd, Lightning Slash (Any), Chilling Mist (Any), and Vacuum Slice (Any).
Otherwise, use weapons with no innate elemental damage, no Fire or Magic for instance, but Lightning and Frostbite are allowed. I.E. you can use Warhawk Talon with Lightning, Crescent Moon Axe with Frostbite, Partizan with Heavy, etc.
Regardless of whether you want to be a part of the event, we'd love to have y'all come and watch! My start time will be at 2pm PST/5pm EST, but you can check in with other streamers who will be starting earlier that day as well! Take care y'all!

Howdy, y'all! I hope the new year has been treating you well so far. I have two things for you today:
First, A COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT. Taking place on February 25th this year will be a charity event hosted by @thedashingsaint4455 ! There will be player-made covenants, each representing their own charity, and they all will do battle in the Elden Ring arena. A few streamers and content creators are having their own covenants being made and you can join in too!

"The builds and covenants will specifically play at Level 60 (+12 smithing / +5 somber upgrades) in 3v3 fights with spirit summons activated. Each covenant will have a covenant leader and 2 lieutenants, or VIPs. If a VIP and their party wins, against another group's VIPs, they'll earn funds for their charity. A player may join as many covenants as they'd like so long as they've met the requirements by the covenant leader, but Lieutenants can only be in one covenant, to easily keep track of victories."

Just checking in by saying that I, unfortunately for you, am STILL alive and kicking. I do have a few projects in the works concerning Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and some other games that y'all might enjoy watching even if you haven't played or even heard of them at all. I've been slowly progressing through my own corner of life, some of which hasn't been particularly pleasant or noteworthy, but I've been getting through it all the same!
Long story short, I've just been busy! With that being said, I hope the lot of y'all--wherever you're at in your own lives or struggles--are doing as well as you can with as much help you can find.

Howdy, y'all! An announcement: There is a PvP charity event for the Elden Ring community happening THIS weekend (August 5th through 7th)!
Organized by StochasticGD, many streamers (saintriot, ghost_hardware_, Pincognito, Wraff, thedashingsaint, me, and others) will be doing Taunter's Tongue runs at meta [Level 125] on either one, two, or all three days. The streamers will on Playstation AND PC. For every streamer, summoned phantom, or shadow host killed, Stochastic will be donating money to the Save the Children charity organization. We'll be looking for summons, invaders, and duelists alike!
