Yippee.

I'll be posting gameplay videos starting again this weekend. I took a little break from the daily ranked uploads since I was feeling tired of playing timeless ranked (understandable after playing multiple hours a day every day since MH3 dropped). I'm glad to see that everyone liked all 3 non-gameplay videos I put up in the last week even though they were all different from each other. In the future my content will be a nice mix of gameplay and non-gameplay instead of just jamming ranked every day.

500 subs in LESS THAN A MONTH! It warms my heart that 500 complete strangers liked my stuff enough to stick around. I'll do my best to take this channel seriously and keep up the Timeless content! Hopefully we can introduce more new friends to our niche arena format.

Do you like long intros and deck techs for gameplay videos? I was looking at my analytics and I noticed that the Rakdos Scam video actually had the best viewer retention and average watch time. I was fearing the opposite would happen - I thought people would skip the long-winded intro or click off. How long would you like the deck tech/intro to be in the future, on average?

What a crazy influx of subs and views! We hit 100 subs less than a week ago, and we're closing in on 300 as I type this. It seems like my latest few videos got "caught by the algorithm" so a lot of new folks rolled in. I've seen a lot of comments about how there aren't many other channels in my niche spike-ing Timeless, and that people are really loving the content, and I'm just glad to be here. It really made my day logging in to YouTube after work and seeing an increase of about 100 subs from the last time I checked. The two videos I posted yesterday got over 1000 and nearly 1000 views in just a day. This channel didn't even exist 3 weeks ago.

Love y'all, one more plug for the discord server I made yesterday discord.gg/MqwJh7MUDn

100+ subscribers, wow! When I checked yesterday morning we were at 98, I said to myself I'd write up a nice little post about the channel to celebrate, and it looks like we're already up to 127 in just a day and a half. Neat!

I'm pleasantly surprised that this channel has gained some traction without me doing a crazy amount of effort into promoting it - I think I posted on reddit twice and I posted about it in the MTG Eternal discord, that's about it. Yet over 100+ strangers showed up and they all appreciate my content, that's awesome. I read more than one comment saying "you're my favorite content creator right now" and that's crazy considering this channel had 0 subscribers and zero videos 2 weeks ago. I made this channel because *I* was looking for this type of creator - I wanted to watch someone who had a really spike-y approach to Timeless, exploring the meta, trying to innovate, and trying to teach others about that format. This is the content that I personally want to watch, and its the kind I'll continue to make.

On the note of making content, I want to post some Timeless guides that aren't just gameplay VODs. I want to make specific tutorials or "lectures" on certain subjects, such as:
-How to mulligan correctly in a high-power format
-How to build a sideboard for Timeless
-How to build a manabase in Timeless
-Breakdowns of meta decks and how to play against them
^if you have any ideas on what you want to see please let me know, I only have so much creativity in me.

And one last thing about me, I'm just happy to be here. I really don't have a desire to "win" a YouTube, I just want to post about Timeless because its such a fun and under-appreciated format. I actually used to do YouTube as a hobby when I was a teenager (10 years ago at this point), and had a channel (also called Korae) with thousands of subs. The workload and pressure of YouTube in addition to real life was understandably a bit much for a teenager to handle, so I ended up burning out hard, deleting the channel, and getting a lot of anxiety related to it. But now its years later and I'm 26 - in the meantime I got a degree and moved to another state alone to start my life, and now I have a happy and successful career as an engineer. I don't need to rely on YouTube for income or an ego boost, and I've already been-here-done-that on YouTube years ago as a kid, so hopefully I can keep up the passionate and drama-free content without any ulterior motives.

Thanks again for being here. I really wasn't expecting much when I posted the first few videos, I just wanted record some high rank Timeless gameplay and show it to a few people. I'm going to keep the daily Timeless uploads going for as long as I have an interest in the format.
