'He Need to be the Only Dog"
The biggest untruth I have seen hundreds and thousands of people say, this is so untrue itās not even funny, in fact, a husky as an only dog is detrimental to his health.
I have worked with over 800 now so I kind of know what I am talking about. Didnāt read it in a book or have a trainer tell me, it comes from hundreds and hundreds of introductions and experience.
Your husky isnāt aggressive! He is frustrated! Put him in a pack and learn the language. Thatās the key to a successful relationship with huskies.
I can help! I can help you keep your dog! I can teach you how to speak their language. Reach out, before you rehome.
Huskyhalfwayhouse@gmail.com to set up an appt. Your husky doesnāt need a trainer, you do.

Last year during one of my Rescue Rides I stopped at āŖ@pineridgesiberiansā¬ to meet Cassandra and her pack. I thought it would be cool to bring my own personal pack up there and have hers teach mine how to mush. š
Since I am way too busy rescuing homeless huskies to spend enough time with my own dogs and get them up there, I asked Cassandra if she wanted to write a childrenās book with me about it.
Thatās what she does, writes childrenās books about her dogs. In fact thatās how I met her. I had contacted the artist she uses āŖ@cameoandersonā¬ and she introduced us.
And itās almost done š. It will be ready to share with all of you just in time for Christmas.
In the photo is my entire personal pack including the husky that started it all, Dusty. Cassandraās pack is also in the mix.
Cameo is amazing, she captured our dogs to perfection and working with these two ladies has been awesome.
I canāt wait for you to see it. I wonāt spoil it, but wanted to give you a sneak peek. š„°
All the money I raise from this book will go to H3. Every dime. I hope you all will buy one!!

Rescue. It's a dirty job. Most days and moments are not pretty but both me and this girl will tell you that the pretty will come back out when the coat dries.
At this moment rescue isn't pretty. Every day I wake up and wonder, without actually looking, because that's not helpful, how many will lose at this dirty little thing called life.
Every day that goes by. Every single one, means another husky will die in a shelter simply for lack of space... and let's not mention all the other breeds.
What's the answer? It isn't pretty and for some reason it's not being heard.
Its spay and neuter. Remove the reproductive organs from their bodies so that they cannot produce more babies or allow their hormones to run amuck.
Definitely not pretty. We as humans also have to control our own hormones, emotions and behaviors with discipline, medications and procedures so why would we assume the animal we have as a pet is different. You have a living, breathing soul with hormones and emotions and not a lot of ways to release it without proper training, hormone control and guidance from their people.
But so many don't even understand how important that is.. or even know that it's a thing!
Especially around here.
Why ohh why would we remove their body parts? Because we as humans cannot keep their populations under control. To the point where we are having to euthanize them in city shelters just to keep up.
Spaying and neutering should be law. It's my law. All of my halfway huskies are spayed and neutered before an official adoption.
Is your pet spayed or neutered? If so, I want to say thank you and put your name in a basket for a husky to pick out your name and send you a gift bag.
It's the cutest thing. It's all husky. A husky pillow, a husky lollipop, husky flip flops, a husky keychain, a husky sticker and a husky pen. Ohh and a pair of husky socks.
Seriously, if your pet is spayed or neutered, and you are officially following the huskies page, click here. It's your free chance to get all the husky stuff. I'll add pics of the cute in the comments.
And don't forget. Are you officially following H3? Because that's about as important as spaying and neutering your pets.

We are committed and wholeheartedly dedicated to the rescue, rehab and rehoming of huskies in puppy mills, shelters and abusive situations. Husky Halfway House Foundation works with authorities to assist in puppy mill cases by providing transport, housing, rehab and rehoming of the puppy mill victims and those that suffer around them.
Our mission is to not only save lives but to share our knowledge on the pros of spay and neuter, the consequences of puppy mills and back yard breeding, and provide advice and services that help pet owners and our community find solutions to the root of the problems at hand, the uneducated, unwanted breeding of animals for monetary gain, regardless of the welfare of the animal.
Together, we can reduce the number of unaltered, un-vaccinated animals in our community and put a dent in the homeless population by putting a stop to puppy mills, back yard breeders and providing resources for spay and neuter to our community.
