Italian conductor Alfonso Scarano has established and consolidated an international career conducting in Europe, Asia and South America a huge symphonic, opera, ballet and contemporary music repertoire. For 13 years (2011 - 2024) Alfonso Scarano has conducted the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra in Bangkok (from 2017 until 2024 as Chief Conductor) elevating its rank at international status and shaping an unmistakable sound culture culminated with the first acclaimed European tour held in August/September 2022, the CD recording for Albany Records USA and the praised live performances of Bruckner and Mahler symphonies. His previous positions include Chief Conductor of the Severočeská Filharmonie Teplice (2013 – 2018), Principal Guest Conductor of the Virtuosi di Praga (2000 – 2010) and Music Director and Conductor of the Toscana Opera Festival in Italy (2006 – 2008).
