I've been working on a project over the past few months and I am now ready to share with you that the much-awaited build of the Airfix 1/24 scale Grumman Hellcat Mk.II (F6F-5) is now complete!
This super-size kit will be released as a 6 part series, focusing on specific elements such as the cockpit, wings, painting and other sections of the assembly. Given the large size of the kit, it seemed more manageable to break it down into these chunks.
The kit was quite a challenge at times, and certainly stretched my modelling skills. It's not perfect though and I explore more of the good and bad of the model in the videos.
I'll be posting some build pictures of this kit over the next few weeks, as and when I get a chance to upload them, but stay tuned for the videos very soon!
