My shows with Bonnie Raitt in Ireland were so much fun. Something I wonāt forget in a hurry. I got such a great reception from Bonnie, her crew and the audiences. Iāll be returning to Ireland in September. There are also a handful of US shows with more to follow. See you on the road.

The way songs develop over time is one of the joys of playing music for me. Originally, this was a full electric band tune, but I had a lot of fun stripping it back to play solo on my resonator guitar, filmed by Northern Cowboy Films. An album recording only catches a snapshot of how a song sounded on a particular day. During their lifetime, songs continue to grow and change. The fun is letting them do so. The Time Is Now......

Just a couple of reasons why I'm so excited to announce, I'll be opening for Bonnie Raitt this June...
After hearing her perform Devil Got My Woman on a late-night TV show in the 90's, Bonnie Raitt became an inspiring artist to me. With such a distinctive style on both guitar and vocal, when she sings, I believe her. She's always shone a light back to early blues players like Skip James and Mississippi John Hurt who are both very influential musicians to me. It was Bonnie and Kelly Joe Phelps that opened my eyes to how wonderful and unusual Skip James style was, with his low minor guitar tunings and his haunting falsetto. I'm thrilled to be opening for Bonnie in Dublin and Belfast. The shows are sold out, but stay tuned as I have more news coming soon.
See you at Ulster Hall and Vicar Street in June.

A couple of weeks back, I went to Sheffield to visit Northern Cowboy Films to record a live studio version of Morning Sun - and I'm excited to share it here: https://youtu.be/tMypsWlqjqg
Feel free to share far and wide. As an independent artist, word of mouth and shares really help me to get my music out there. More live versions coming soon.
In other news, this morning I heard that I'm going to be opening some shows for one of my musical heroes. More about that soon. Here's my gig list so far. There are loads more to be announced, and I look into all the recommendations you send me, so thanks you for that.
