OMG!!😲Have you seent the Sneak Preview of the demonstration of Adobe's Turntable?
It generatively creates a full horizontal turnaround of a vector character. Apparently it can also generate a vertical turn of the character as well. I suspect that a sequence of svg (scalable vector graphics) are created and then available to scrub forwards and backwards from an 'x' and a 'z' slider. There wasn't much info, and it was a demo of a feature that will likely be available in Illustrator (us Animate users can only pray).

Feel like I've been moving in extreme slo-mo. Thankfully, lots of good things are happening- between my current PSA project and some promising trade events happening I'm hopeful about the future. I'll try to touch base and post here so I'm not missing out too much. Funny enough, my rigging has been a lower priority on the current project. I will likely create a limited rig for the main character, as opposed to a full multi-view rig.

Hi Fam. Sorry about not posting more frequently. I'm finally in preproduction on an animation project that pushed me back into character design and rigging! I'll try to share some WIPs until I have time or a proper (an long overdue) up-to-date rigging tutorial. AnimateCC remains a fine option for character design, rigging and animation. I'm super thankful for all the healthy discussion in my last video. Last night I got an email inviting me to Beta test version 7 of Flash power tools. Let me tell you, I've never been more excited about the release of an animation tool. So many MORE of the things we wish we had will be in the next update!! I will prepare a summary video in the next few days- schedule permitting. GET READY!!

A WIP project close to completion- the character designs are nearly done. This character was inspired by an illustration of the actress Marilyn Monroe. still have big plans for this rig, but time won't permit me to do too much more- for now.

Updated work in progress on my latest multi-view rig. AnimateCC cannot do 360 degree rigs, but that's okay. There are a lot of limitations that the program has. the 'modern rigging' bone tools are really bad. But thanks to Electric Dog's Flash Power Tools plugin a capable IK toolset is available. There are still lots of little fixes to do and facial controls to setup, but this is turning out to be alright.

I've started a lot of projects that I haven' finished. And among those, there's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff I haven't shared. Well, not this time! A proper case study is on the way, but I'm excited to tease out some of the major points that my latest rig got to along the way. Please stay tuned!

I got an idea for another animated presenter and worked through the weekend on my best looking Multi-View Rig, yet! Super light and versatile. Not quite done, but I'm stoked with the progress I was able to make. About 20 something hours from sketch to MVR. Stay tuned for a proper case study soon-ish!

Excited to be rigging again! This one'll be my most advanced and intelligent doll, yet. Speaking of intelligence, I used #midjourney to kickstart the character design process. I actually got frustrated that generative methods could not produce a proper model sheet, though it did get me close. Much more to come soon!
