As some of you may have spotted, I am officially retired from the Macy's parade community, for good this time. I retired on June 14 but didn't want to make a post on the retirement until now.
You've spotted me do these retirement shpeels before and it doesn't seem "worth it" because for all we know Ambie might be back by Christmas. Not this time.
There's several factors for me choosing life over ludovico; the main factor is a lack of interest. You can tell this was starting to take hold a while back, as I only uploaded nineteen videos intended to be seen in 2023, which is especially a substantial falloff from 2021 and 2022. In a way, this channel's had such a confusing and messy history that those there on the first day have no reason to return for content. I'm not prepared to address the other reasons, but you might be able to figure them out.
I guess this is the right place to confirm that the Disney video I teased back in October is also not moving forward. I don't have the interest for making these kinds of videos anymore. You can get old of slapping filters on parade telecasts to "enhance the experience" and fan parades aren't my thing. While my content wouldn't even fitten the latter, I still got burnout from the videos.
I'm not one to attempt to sound like the wise guy of the story, but I'm also just getting older. That's weird to say as a 14 year old but it's true. The amount of content you can do on a once-a-year event where you've only got two telecasts, where one only focuses on the event for a third of it, is not much. You can do fan parades or try and be one of the few "worthy" of important parade information, but that's your choice.
To conclude this ramble and summarise it, I've made it to 34th Street. Merry 4th of July. Enjoy the fireworks and soon the 2024 parade. But please don't expect a parade video by me soon or bother me with requests for parade videos.

Hello, you may have noticed that I blanked my YouTube channel and changed the description to indicate that the channel is in limbo. That's because I have planned a complete reorganization of this channel and make its goal clear.
When I first started uploading videos on this channel in 2020, I didn't expect it to be where it's at nearly four years later. But, as the channel's history continued, the more junky it got. By 2022, the videos that had attracted my 2020 fanbase at first were long retired, and by 2023, the same thing happened to those videos and fans I got in 2021-22. The channel's reorganization is not an anti-preservation thing; I may make a playlist that has all the pre-2024 videos readily avaliable to the public, but for now, this is a new era for the channel.

I have a lot to say about this channel's history, which is why I'm announcing a video-retrospect on this channel. I don't think it'll be uploaded on the channel's four year anniversary, but also not tomorrow. Anyways, that's all I have to say. Goodnight.

Just a quick reminder to those who comment on my @Marchives account about if I have this parade or that parade's telecast - Marchives doesn't. I simply reupload pre-existing copies of the broadcasts, I do not have any personal copies of any telecasts. This is just a reminder, and no action will be taken amongst those who asked if I do.
December 10, 2023 update: From now on, every comment requesting for me to upload this telecast or that telecast will be deleted. Be patient. You wouldn't like it if you were bombarded in the way I am.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am very proud to announce a documentary primarily focusing on The Walt Disney Company's history in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! I say primarily, as it will feature Muppet properties as well, even those not owned by the company (such as Sesame Street.)
More to come soon. This documentary will hopefully come off as the grandest send-off to my career as a Macy's Parade History creator.
