A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from a very young age, music has always been a central part of Kim Gentry Meyer’s life. But it was in 2010 when her brother encouraged her to write her own music that she began the journey to develop a growing body of work with a depth that emphasizes her love for Christ.
This journey has also led to her award-winning song, "How I Wanna Be,” which won second place in Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest and was showcased at the Bluebird Cafe, SXSW, and Woodyfest. Her mission in music can be summed up as a desire to point people towards Christ, share a positive message of hope and encouragement, and be a voice for those who have none. Her debut solo album "Herald", which released on NWN Records, is out now.
Kim is also a visual artist, has rescued dogs and cats for sixteen years, is a professional fundraiser, and is a former Mrs. Massachusetts America.
