Captain Tango will once again participate in WorldFlight with Team JeeHell A320. Check out this short video to learn more about this year's route. WorldFlight is an annual charity event on VATSIM that sees teams fly their full-size simulator around the world, for a week, non-stop.

I am currently working on a series of short videos highlighting some of the additions I have made to the A320 cockpit in order to increase the overall immersion level in the sim. The first episode should be available in a day or two and will cover the printer that is integrated in the pedestal. Interestingly this has been a big hit with many visitors. They love walking away with a small piece of thermal paper as a souvenir of their flight!
Keep an eye on this channel to make sure you don't miss the video. I will also be posting a poll soon for you guys to help me decide which topics to cover next as part of this mini-series. Stay tuned.

Last Saturday, in the wee hours of the morning, Team JeeHell A320 completed WorldFlight 2023. My last flight (leg 46 out of 48) was from Darwin (YPDN) to Cairns (YBCS). What an adventure it was just to get out of Darwin as the airport was extremely busy and only has a single runway. But once in the air it was mostly business as usual with just a little bit of excitement for our visual ILS approach into Cairns.

Our first flight of WorldFlight 2023 was a blast. It took us 20 minutes to taxi 100 yards but we did get in the air for the 5 hour flight to Antarctica. Not sure how we ended up with a TCAS alert on 3 miles final... I guess it's always good to practice go-around. And yes you can tell I'm rusty!

The START of WorldFlight 2023 is finally here. In less than 24 hours a dozen teams will take to the virtual skies with full VATSIM ATC coverage and fly their home cockpits around the world, non-stop, for a week, raising money for various charities.
