His life is centred between Paris (France), Pula (Croatia), Zagreb (Croatia), and Berlin (Germany).
As a painter, he lived and worked for 38 years in Montmartre, France, where he developed his own original contemporary artistic style in portraiture and painting. He had exhibitions in Paris in 1993, 1996, and 2002.
His works are permanently exhibited at the “Bretonniere” gallery, 19 rue Mont-Cenis, and at the “Place du Tertre,” the centre of paintings in Paris. J.C. Maxim’s art is part of many private collections worldwide. Four of his important paintings are even exhibited in the Modern Art Museum “Fort Worth” in Dallas, Texas. Per Real has many J.C. Maxim paintings in his hotel, “Hotel Ludwig van Beethoven,” in Berlin.
His artistic style attracts art enthusiasts worldwide, and his paintings can be found in many famous galleries.
