K 600,000.00 funding from NCDC to the National Statistics Office to help with the 2024 Census in Port Moresby.
A memorandum of agreement was penned between NCDC and the National Statistics Office.
Census will take two weeks and so start June 17, 2024.
A reference night is scheduled on Sunday June 16, 2024.

It appears the PNG Opposition has gone beaten Speaker Job Pomat and already filed a Supreme Court Reference under Section 18.

Well we think they are strategic here. If the Supreme Court does not recognise the Opposition Leader, they may go back, amend their reference and file again.

Papua New Guinea Parliament and Vote of No Confidence Motion

The Special Parliamentary Committee will convene at midday today to scrutinize the VONC motion that was filed yesterday.
The SPC is made up of Philip Undialu, Hela Governor as Chairman, William Powi, SHP Governor as Deputy and other members include Charlie Benjamin, Manus Governor, Taboi Awi Yoto, Western Governor and Gulf Governor, Chris Haiveta.
As you can see, they are all PANGU Pati MPs and they will try all their best to block the motion from being put on the notice paper.
It would take seven days after filing a motion for the vote to be taken if allowed
