LIVE MUSIC SESSIONS ACROSS AFRICA.
Started in Zimbabwe, Zetu sessions is a platform for musicians of every genre and size, to share their work in an intimate setting, a one take live session in their home, their town, or somewhere that is meaningful to them.
Music is about more than just the individual, but about all his/her influences – what moulded and formed the music now being performed. The influences of ones surroundings, of the places experienced and the lessons learnt through living there. Influences of teachers, of ancestors who passed down the music, and of the legends one aspired to be. This concept, the opposite of music in isolation, is the basis for the sessions.
Now the _ sessions have begun journeying across the continent to bring light to a wide range of artists and creatives, and has begun connecting artists and fans from different countries in Africa through hosting different artists on the platform.
