Working Out Is My Sacred Practice

I don’t work out for others.

I work out for me.

For me, fitness is not just about the physical....it’s a spiritual practice.

Each time I move my body, I’m strengthening my mind, connecting deeper to my soul, and aligning with my higher self.

It’s a space where I challenge my limitations, push through resistance, and remember that I’m capable of more than I ever thought possible.

Working out becomes a form of meditation, a way to ground myself in the present moment.

It’s not about how I look, but how I feel...balanced, centered, and in tune with my body, mind, and spirit.

It’s a ritual of self-love, a way to honour this vessel that carries me through life.

When I work out, I’m not just building strength...I’m cultivating inner peace, resilience, and connection to something greater.

This is about evolving from within and showing up for myself in every way, aligning with my purpose and truth.

Meditation isn't about escaping the chaos or forcing a sense of peace.

It's not a practice I turn to when I want to "calm down" or mute the noise around me.

I meditate to feel.

To truly feel.

All of it—the raw, the beautiful, the uncomfortable, the unknown.

I sit with whatever is present, without needing to label it as "good" or "bad."

It's not about pushing away what's hard or trying to hold onto what's easy.

It's about experiencing the full spectrum of being alive.

Through meditation, I allow myself to be human.

To honour every sensation, every thought, every emotion that arises.

It’s a reminder that feeling deeply, in all its forms, is part of the richness of life.

Meditation isn't just a tool to find calm....it’s a space where I embrace it all.

There was a time in my life when grief would hit, and my instinct was to numb it.

When I lost someone close to me, especially recently with Jon's passing, the pain felt unbearable.

In the past, I would've reached for junk food, something quick and comforting to fill the void that grief carved inside me.

The temporary distraction made it easier to avoid feeling, to push the sadness down where I didn’t have to face it head-on.

But now, I approach things differently.

Meditation has taught me that the path isn't about numbing but about allowing.

When Jon passed away, the old urge to dull the pain with food resurfaced, but I chose to sit with the grief instead, to feel it fully.

I let the sadness rise, the tears flow, and I gave myself permission to experience the depth of the loss without running away from it.

It's not always easy, but by not reaching for those old habits, I’ve been able to heal in a much deeper way.

I DON'T MEDITATE TO FEEL CALM

I MEDITATE TO JUST FEEL

Saturday's Live Call in my private membership will be on why I meditate and how it helps me heal parts of myself...keeps me on the raw vegan path and enjoying life just how it is.

Most of us use meditation to feel calm...but it's about learning to just FEEL.

I know that this goes against everything you've ever heard about meditation.

If you sit down for a 10- minute session and try to force yourself to be relaxed and light, you are effectively doing the exact
same type of suppression that likely gave you the need to meditate in the first place.

Instead, the point of meditation is to sit idly as you experience all of those feelings come up: the rage, the fear, the sadness, the overwhelming mind chatter...and in spite of how alluring or triggering it may be, you learn to stay still and not respond to
it.

You learn to allow these thoughts and feelings to come up and then pass by virtue of you not reacting to them.

This takes practice.

Grief 💔

Grief has a way of creeping into every corner of our lives, especially when it comes from both a separation in a relationship and the loss of someone dear.

Recently, I've had to face both.

This year has been one of the toughest. Losing so many fur babies, too 🐕 🐾 😢

It's like time is standing still atm.

The weight of these experiences is heavy, and some days, it feels almost unbearable.

But as I sit with this pain, I'm learning that grief is not something to rush through or ignore.

It's a process, a journey that demands patience and compassion—especially towards myself.

I’ve come to realise that it’s okay to feel everything, to let the tears flow, and to give myself permission to heal in my own time.

Our deepest challenges are opportunities for growth, an invitation to let go of control, and simply allow life to unfold.

This resonates deeply with me now.

In the midst of grief and sadness, there’s a call to surrender to stop fighting the pain and instead to be present with it.

This doesn’t mean it’s easy, but in the allowing, there’s a subtle shift.

It’s as if the weight of the pain lightens just a bit, making space for something new to emerge.

In this journey, I'm finding small pockets of peace by being present, by leaning into the support of those around me, and by reminding myself that I am ok.

Whether through a comforting word from a friend, the warmth of my own breath during meditation, walking in nature by myself for hours, cuddling with the dogs on the sofa, and just taking a moment to remember the love that still exists within and around me—these small acts are helping me navigate the darkness.

I believe grief is a doorway to deeper connection with ourselves.

By fully feeling our pain, we strip away the layers of our ego, uncovering a more authentic version of who we are.

Grief, then, becomes not just something to endure, but a powerful teacher—a guide leading us to a more awakened state.

Grief is a testament to the depth of love we have for others.

Though the pain is real, it’s also a reminder of how much we cared and how much we shared.

And in that, there is a beauty that endures, even in the hardest moments.

If you’re going through something similar, know that you’re not alone.

We all heal in our own ways, and it’s okay to take the time you need.

Be gentle with yourself.

We will come out on the other side—changed, but with a deeper appreciation for life, the connections we hold dear, and the powerful lessons that grief, in all its complexity, brings into our lives 🤍

End suffering by embracing non-attachment 🤍

Boy...have I been suffering lately.

Much of our pain and suffering comes from clinging to ideas, identities, and outcomes.

by practicing non-attachment, we can let go of these mental constructs and open ourselves to the present moment, which is the only real and meaningful place to be.

Let's let go of the need to control or fix everything.

True freedom comes from surrendering to what is.

Non-attachment doesn’t mean indifference or not caring; rather, it’s about being fully present and engaged without being tied to specific results or outcomes.

This allows for a more authentic experience of life, free from the burdens of expectations and the ego’s need for validation.

In this state of non-attachment, we can end our suffering because we stop resisting life as it unfolds.

Instead, we start to flow with it, finding peace in acceptance and the understanding that everything is impermanent.

This mindset can lead to a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us, fostering love, creativity, and a sense of purpose that isn’t dependent on external circumstances.
