Posting this here too and a little update. Thank you to all that bought a Gneiss Box, the last ones sold out quickly and they are all on their way. Total proceeds were about $2,667 and I rounded up to $3k and made the donation.
I’m headed out to do some remote field work in Australia for the next month and have some re-edits of the coal and diamond episode as shorts that will release while I’m away. I have some videos on color theory, mountain scale, and others that I’ll be working on when I get back.

The first batch of gneiss shirts came in and all the rock descriptions written. Thank you cards are also done and I’m assembling everything and shipping them out tomorrow. The second batch of shirts will be here in a few days so all the Gneiss boxes should be on their way soon.

I spent two weeks working with some paleontologist in Montana last month and I recorded a few videos talking about what I was doing and why. Nothing scripted but I put together a quickly edited unlisted video from it. I'm close to finishing the world for the next geology video, its taken quite a bit of time to figure out some of the effects but I think it will turn out pretty well. watch video on watch page

I wanted to follow up on some things from the education video. The Education Edition developers contacted me to discuss the issues I brought up. We had a short meeting and I might be assisting them in some capacity to make improvements to the material reducer.
