ISLAMIC TAWHID IS NOT LOGICAL ; CHRISTIAN TRINITY IS LOGICAL
- Allah is "one".
- Allah is unlike anything in creation.
- "One" is a created concept.
If Allah is "one", and "one" is a created concept, then Allah is likened to creation because you utilized something created to say something meaningful about Allah. But Allah is supposedly unlike anything in creation meaning you cannot utilize anything in creation to say something meaningful about Allah. Therefore, contradiction.
This has nothing to do with "modality", and invoking "modality" does not get one out of the contradiction. In fact, contrary to the Taymiyyans, the Asharis outright deny the concept of modality with regards to Allah because modality is a created concept applicable to only the created order. In other words, according to the Asharis it is not possible to ascribe "modality" to Allah in any way whatsoever. Either way for the Asharis, the logical problem of tawhid still remains.
It is not logical for Allah to be likened to creation in any way whatsoever when Allah is unlike anything in creation in every way whatsoever. The only way to avoid a contradiction in order to say something meaningful about Allah is to permit some degree of likening Allah to creation. Allah has two right hands?
Islamic tawhid is not logical.
The (Orthodox) Christian Trinity is logical. We invite any Muslim to provide an actual LOGICAL proof to the contrary. No Muslim will be able to do so, including those who self-appoint themselves as "Muslim Metaphysician".
By all means, go ahead and try (and miserably fail): umsu.de/trees/

That it is possible something exists that is divine and from another does not entail that it is possible something exists that is not divine and is a se (e.g., an a se cow).

CONCLUSION
That it is not possible something exists that is not divine and is a se does not entail that it is not possible something exists that is divine and is not a se. Basically, given that all contingent existents have a cause, the converse does not logically follow, namely, that which has a cause is contingent. Furthermore, that a contingent existent has a cause does not necessitate one prove its contingency as stemming from that cause, i.e., there are other ways to demonstrate contingency apart from an existent's cause.

CONCLUDING REMARKS
It is logically possible to demonstrate that:
1) Something exists that is divine and from another without entailing that it is possible something exists that is not divine and is a se (e.g., an a se cow);
2) Something exists that is not divine and is a se without entailing that it is not possible something exists that is divine and is not a se; and
3) Aseity is a hypostatic property of the Father and not the divine nature, meaning you can have a divine person other than the Father that is not a se.

BELIEVING YOU WORSHIP GOD DOES NOT MEAN YOU ACTUALLY WORSHIP GOD
You buy a Rolex watch and it functions as it should because it is a genuine Rolex watch.
You buy a Rolex knock-off and it does not function as it should because it is fake. It is not a genuine Rolex watch no matter how much it may look like a Rolex watch. It also does not matter how much you believe it may be a real Rolex watch because it is not and never will be a real Rolex watch. Having the mere belief that you may be wearing a real Rolex watch will never change the fact that you are in fact wearing a fake.
Orthodox Christianity worships God. Everyone else does not. Non-Orthodox can believe as much as they want that they worship God. The fact of the matter is they worship something fake and imaginary in their heads. Non-Orthodox worship is the worship of demons.
Muslims worship demons. If you think that you and Muslims share in the same worship of "God", then you are deluded and along with the Muslims in fact engage in the worship of demons.
Roman Catholicism is demonic.

ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIMACY VS ORTHODOX PATRIARCHY
ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIMACY
Requires as a necessary condition that the so-called "Pope" cannot defect from the faith, i.e., the "Pope" must uphold the faith in its entirety 100% of the time. There is no wiggle room for the "Pope" to commit acts of heresy, blasphemy, or otherwise act in a manner that would be deemed contrary to and/or compromise the faith.
ORTHODOX PATRIARCHY
Recognized Nestorius to have blasphemed and committed heresy, which lead to his deposition. The Church as an institution has built-in mechanisms to preserve the faith so that the entirety of the institution can never be compromised by the actions of one individual, even if that individual is a Patriarch.
The situation where Orthodox Patriarchs, even today, say things and act in ways contrary to Orthodoxy does not have the same implications for the Orthodox Church as the Pope does for Roman Catholicism. The former vests the preservation of the faith in the Institution that is the Church body, which is guided and preserved by the Holy Spirit, whereas the latter vests the preservation of the faith in one person. The gates of Hades can prevail over any one individual, but it can never prevail over the Church body.
While Orthodoxy has its fair share of clergy who say and believe things contrary to the faith, as a body the Church remains truthful to the Apostles and Ecumenical Councils. The entirety of Orthodoxy does not rest in any one single Patriarch, as the example of Nestorius demonstrates historically. The same cannot be said of Roman Catholicism, which has repeatedly had its "Popes" defect from the faith.
The Roman Catholic "church" is a false church. It is to be rejected just as much, if not more, than Islam. Roman Catholics are not our brothers in the Apostolic faith.

MUSLIMS DO NOT WORSHIP GOD
Recently there has been quite a bit of an uproar over the issue of whether or not Christians and Muslims both worship God. Basically, the Roman Catholic side is pushing the idea that Christians and Muslims both worship God. The Roman Catholic side even attempts to reinforce its position by quoting the statements of people within Orthodoxy.
Those within Orthodoxy who put forward the idea that Christians and Muslims both worship God are in error. Muslims do not worship God. The Islamic worship of "Allah" is to worship a demon.
The issue is really quite simple.
Jesus is God.
Muslims do not worship Jesus.
Therefore, Muslims do not worship God.
Christians and Muslims do not share in the same worship of God.
Anyone within Orthodoxy who claims that Muslims worship God is in error. Period.

ORTHODOX VS ORIENTAL MONOPHYSITE HERETICS IN A NUTSHELL
St Cyril: "...even after the assumption of flesh and blood remaining what He [Christ] was before, namely God in nature (physis) and truth. […] For He is utterly changeless and immutable, ever remaining the same according to the Scriptures."
According to St Cyril, God does not change. And since Christ is God, then Christ does not change. In other words, Christ is the same after Incarnating as before Incarnating.
ORTHODOX
• Christ is a Divine-only hypostasis before Incarnating and remains a Divine-only hypostasis after Incarnating.
• Christ does not change.
• The Orthodox are faithful to what St Cyril teaches.
• Miaphysis = Divine-only hypostasis.
ORIENTAL MONOPHYSITE HERETICS
• Christ was a Divine-only hypostasis before Incarnating who changes into a Divine-human hybrid hypostasis after Incarnating.
• Christ undergoes change.
• The Oriental monophysite heretics reject what St Cyril teaches.
• Miaphysis = Divine+human hybrid hypostasis.
• <Insert mental gymnastics coping how adding a human hypostasis does not constitute change>

Welcome to Orthodox Shahada.
We are a small team of Eastern Orthodox Christian apologists who have a keen interest in Islamic theology, philosophy, and praxis. Our goal is to compare and contrast the Orthodox faith with the Islamic one to come to an understanding of which is the faith of the prophets, the apostles, and Jesus Christ Our God and Saviour.
We hope you enjoy our content, thank you.
