Chill time after a fantastic day at the Lakes. What an amazing day at the Lake District today. The ribbons on the F-15, the fantastic dancing of the F-18s followed by the illusive Texan. Add all this to a stunning backdrop, you’ve got yourself a cracker of a day.

Today, Nikos and I had a wonderful tour of RAF Mildenhall and it was amazing to see the very detail that we talk about on our streams. This could not have been possible without the wonderful airman “The Running Man” who made this happen. He was super and very knowledgable on his field and just proved how important the LRS Role of the QA really is. So many sign offs, so many checks showed that they don’t just put on any part onto an aircraft and don’t just send anything out on a flight without so many checks.

A big thank you also to Claire Bear who looked after the stream while Nikos and I were on tour. She did us proud.

2024 noTEDS

‘noTEDS’ are our planned visits for the year. So as you know I have a reputation for bringing the luck, you can “almost” be sure of something going to happen. noTEDS are like NOTAMS, which notify the pilots so that they can perform great manoeuvres and show off their skills knowing that I am there [just kidding] 🧸

WHATASHOT
Who remembers HAGGIS? This was the debut for Haggis who entered with a warning to get everyone out of the water due to a shark. The Red Teds took to safety. One can also admire Haggis’s skills on the bagpipe too. Captured wonderfully by our very our Spanner Flight member, Gerd. This was a great RAF Lossiemouth trip. We visit annually for those that like the TCS to cover the base.

WHAT AN HONOUR
One of our members, out of their own kindness, created this wonderful wreath for Remembrance Sunday at Finchley United Services Club, London. This is a great honour.

Thank you so much to Ally Leyland who proudly put the TCS wreath she made and laid next to the memorial to the brave who lost their lives for our country…

Thank you to Ally Leyland’s husband for serving 23 years in the Army, the Prince of Wales’s Own Regiment of Yorkshire. Thank you for serving sir

TODAY
It is a day to remember the service and sacrifice of all those who defended and gave our future freedom and protected our way of life today. From the end of hostilities of World War I in 1918 and World War II all the way to today...we shall remember them. Together we shall remember all of our Armed Forces, including their families, emergency services and those who have lost their lives through conflict or terrorism. Remembrance Sunday is held on the Sunday nearest to 11th November, Armistice Day.

TOMORROW
It is there because of the sacrifice and bravery made today
