Our first Family Home Evening.......Having. 3 boys in 3 years all diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder at the age of 18 months was a very hard road. There was a lot going on in our home at this time. This was our very first attempt at doing family home evening.

Since it is Autism awareness month what better way to bring awareness than to share our story.
This video was one of the first times a truly decided I wanted to document our lives, our journey as an Autism family. You know they always say in the autism community that If you have meet one autism person....you have meet one autism person. That means they are all unique. They are all different. They all have a story to tell.
I documented our journey and will be sharing it here and on our Hurricane Jeffries Facebook page for the rest of the month. We share our journey so people can understand what is it like.
I chose this video first because it is very significant. My Husband had gotten laid off of his good hospital job the day before Airabella's first birthday. We were suddenly out of money and trying to survive our 4 autism kiddos. I had to make it up as I went along. I worked with specialist constantly and did they best I could to do it all for them because it was the ONLY choice we had.

I was an artist before my family and then when our kids started coming i simply found myself on a completely different journey. I had no time and autistic kids and a husband with ADHD and anxiety....So i picked up a camera and started capturing my new journey.
This is my photo journal of being the mother of 4 autistic kids and the way i see it as we go. Family never seems to be what you thought it would be when you were young. The journey has and will continue to be the reward. This is our journey.
