The good news is that if you wanna check out the proofs of the arcane codex and the pointy hat plush, they are there for you to check out! (Not for sale, once again waiting for preorders to go out before its sold anywhere).
I said this in the last update but as long as NO ONE messes with global trade, we are expected to ship all of these out end of august!

Hi y'all! Sorry to come with two bad news at once :(
Bad News Number 1: Video out on monday!
The next video is massive, truly a huge undertaking. We thought we could swing it in our usual schedule, but we couldn't! It'd be out next monday.
Bad News Number 2: While the Pantomime King adventure has raised a bunch of money (update coming soon, also errata corrected version coming very soon), it's to date the thing I've released that has been pirated the fastest.
This has happened to me before and it always hurts, but to do this for a thing that is going 100% to charity is so ghoulish and disgusting to me that I'm taking legal measures (We found the guy respondible for spreading it and we're building a case. Interestingly somehow part of the community! Very cool of you!).
Thank you SO much to everyone that has gotten a copy. Piracy for digital goods really hurts goods like this one, so if you were thinking of maybe picking up our little pride folio, I'd appreciate it a bunch. As i said, every cent goes to a good cause!

I've gotten a buuuunch of comments about this, so I thought I'd make a post clearing it up!
What's up with thumbnails? Why do they keep changing?
Well, Youtube has released a new feature that allows us to test thumbnails! You upload up to three, and it'll checks to see which one leads to the best retention (not most clicks, that way people don't use this to make the best clickbait). For a period of around 1 day, it'll show different thumbnails to everyone to check which one does best, and then it'll pick one!
That's why you see thumbnails changing after a video's release. It's not us youtubers changing the thumbnail for fun! (Or at least I don't do it for fun)
I draw my own thumbnails and put a lot of work on them. Did y'all notice the change to hand-drawn thumbnails at the start of this year? Hope y'all like em!

HUGE UPDATE! The Cursed One Sorcerer, the Battlefield Actions AND the Skulldugger are now up for grabs for 100% certified Pointy Hat free! BUT. No video today!
The first two were released but had some little bits missing (2024 srd stuff) and the skulldugger was one video late, but they are now all 100% ready to go!
But why is the video late? Why did the skulldugger come out one video later than the other? Well, let me tell you a little secret. My next video was called "Mystic: The D&D Class that Doesn't Exist". I recorded the whole thing and left for a little trip to the UK, ready to be edited.
I find out when I'm at the airport about to leave that WotC had released... the Psion. The new mystic class. 8 years had the mystic spent in UA limbo, and it had to come back when I could not write or record a single thing. We had to scrap everything and start from zero again, we just couldn't release on friday. So!
Next video will be on MONDAY!
And that's why everything happened!
Oh, and since I'm here and I've gotten some questions about this, let's get into it.
Why have Pointy Hat downloads changed? Most of you have not even noticed this, but some have. They used to be released with the Google Docs feature called "Anyone with the Link", and now they are shared with the "Share to Web" feature.
They are basically the exact same thing, but the only difference is that with "Anyone with the Link" you can directly download the doc as pdf or doc file or whatever, whereas with "Share to Web" they can't. So why change it? Well, because with "Anyone with the Link" you also get access to my email, which meant that some people kept flooding my inbox with editing access requests (easily past 100 individual emails on release days), and also using that to send me inappropriate stuff, and just generally being a nuisance, so that's I had to change it!
The good news is that if you want to have your own google doc with my stuff for ease of access or for whatever reason, you can just literally just CTRL+A then CTRL+C on the doc you want, create your own doc, and CTRL+V it, and that's it! You have it on your own doc for personal use. There's literally nothing more to it than that. I'm not taking my free stuff offline, I'm gonna continue releasing free stuff, it's literally the point(y) of the channel, but if having your own doc is helpful to you or makes you feel better, or whatever other reason, you still can! It's a shame it had to change, but it's ok! It's growing pains! So that's why! Hope that clears that up. I've gone ahead and changed all Pointy Hat free releases to "Share to Web" (and it took a long time and it was very annoying)
