First time mom confessionā¤µļø
It took me a while to accept that being a good mom doesnāt mean that I need to have a good day every single day.
A good mom is allowed to have a mix ofā¦
Hard days. Bad days. Normal days. Joyful days. Long days. Tired days. Super mom days. Overwhelming days. Lazy days. Great days. Energetic days. Sad days.
Each kind of day is okay to have & bound to happen too because this ish is hardā¦š
This mindset shift helped me realize that a āgood momā is one who tries her best every day using the energy, resources, & support she has even when those things may vary from one day to the next.

I have been so much more anxious about babyās well-being this time around compared to the first time.
I donāt know why.
Maybe itās having dealt with loss earlier this year? Maybe itās hearing about miscarriages from friends & family?
About 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage & my heart goes out to every single one of those moms. You are so strong & not aloneš©·
I had some moderate cramping over Thanksgiving weekend & went to get things checked out at the hospital - because my docās office was closed - just to make sure everything was okay.
Thankfully, everything was just fine & getting checked on was a huge reassurance for me.
The nurse sure made me feel silly though, but a momās gotta do what a momās gotta do for her babies, right?
A healthy pregnancy & healthy baby is such a blessing. Itās not one I take lightly or for granted.
Wishing all the moms health, resilience, & peace of mind on their motherhood journeys x
