You might not guess, but my absolute first painting almost made me give it up forever, and it actually set me back 32 years! It had everything to do with not having the proper tools or proper instruction. Then after many years, I gave it another try but I was immediately frustrated because the paint I was using became gummy and wouldnât cover. I worked at it for hours and almost gave up. It turns out, it wasnât my talent that was inadequate, it was the ineffective paint.
